From traditional watercolours to abstract acrylics. An active interest in people and in the world around me leads to artistic exploration. The underlying aim is always communication with the viewer to share recognition, beauty and emotion.

Over the years my work has progressed from being traditional transparent watercolour to contemporary mixed media. My creative process involves layering. Successive layers are washed, scrubbed and sanded back to reveal the buried images. Texture, linear elements and text play a significant role in my work.
